From the 4th July and throughout the summer we are running an ongoing and socially distanced Woolley Country Festival exclusively for our hotel guests. From willow weaving to garden pesto making, wildlife walks to seed sowing and welly-wanging to wheelbarrow races...stay with us and join in the fun!
Make garden pesto with the chef, create pretty flower crowns, learn how to willow weave, design your own mocktail recipe (and then drink the results), have a go at soft archery, toast marshmallows in the copse, try a kids’ yoga class, learn all about gardening with our ‘seed-to-harvest’ planting and cropping with the garden team, and get to know the local wildlife with our Twilight Bat Walk led by Megan, our Head Gardener & Ecologist. See the schedule below for details. Please note that some of these activities are subject to favourable weather conditions.
Fancy some competitive fun? Take part in the Family Challenge in the grounds. Try welly wanging, wheel barrow racing, our fiendish obstacle course and hula-hooping. Time yourselves and take your place on the leader board. They'll be a weekly prize for the winning family.
For a more leisurely activity, follow the Woolley Sheep Trail and get to know our 14 acre grounds. All the little ones win a prize. There's also arts & crafts fun in the Woolley Bears Den and den building in the grounds.
For those with young children we have individual family areas in the grounds with teepees for the children to play in whilst mum and dad relax in deckchairs with a drink and a book. Bliss!
When the lights dip low enjoy a relaxing cocktail on the terrace as gentle guitar music drifts across the gardens, firepits are lit and woollen blankets are brought out to keep you warm.
So come join our socially distanced Woolley Country Festival this summer…with no crowds or queues for the loos!
