With so many great children's authors attending, this year's Bath Children's Literature Festival, it looks like it's going to be bookloads of fun! The Woolley Bear's Den at Woolley Grange, is getting into the swing of things too, with themed storytelling, dressing up, quizzes, crafty activities and games planned. If you're coming from afar, why not stay? We have a complimentary taxi service to and from the station - a pretty 15 minute train journey into central Bath, and a beautiful spa at the hotel to relax in on your return, along with 2 hours supervised childcare in the OFSTED registered Woolley Bears Den. If you're local, please bring your little ones along to the Laura James storytelling session or enquire about Den sessions.
What's on at the Bath Children's Literature Festival
The Bath Children's Literature Festival is now in it's 10th year and continues to grow in popularity. Big hitting names like David Walliams, Malorie Blackman and Michael Morpurgo are a huge draw, as are our favourite TV presenters, such as Chris Packham, who has written a wonderful book about animal migration, entitled 'Amazing Animal Journeys'. We think his will be a very special event (Sunday 9th October). Another favourite of ours is Alan Macdonald talking about Dirty Bertie (Saturday 8th October). The programme describes this as a 'Fun packed dose of comic chaos...celebrate our favourite boy with the most nose-pickingly disgusting habits. He's cheeky and he pongs a bit (Bertie, not Alan!) but this event will most definitely not stink!' Not to be missed! For a full programme of activities and to buy tickets to events visit: The Bath Children's Literature Festival
