Experiences make memories. Whether you're after adventure or relaxation this autumn or winter, be inspired with our selection of the best experiences that Woolley Grange and the surrounding countryside have to offer.
Fun Filled Family Activities
We run a range of fun filled family activities during the school holidays. From toasting marshmallows in the nature garden to creating your own fabulous drinks with the restaurant team or making tasty treats with the chef to learning growing tips with the garden team. Your children can also enjoy a Den session each day, making Halloween masks and Treat or Treat bags, Autumn leaf rubbing and bird feeders. Watch this space for what's on when!
A great way to explore the grounds and discover all the play areas and secret spaces is to follow the Woolley Sheep Trail around our 14 acre grounds. All the little ones who complete the puzzle win a prize. There's also arts & crafts fun in the Woolley Bears Den, a mud kitchen, playhouses, swing, trampoline, football nets, croquet and den building in the grounds, plus cinema club and indoor games when the weather is less encouraging, as well as indoor pool sessions.
We have just launched a rather special gourmet break. This two night break includes a pre-dinner artisan gin tasting and teach in session by our knowledgeable bar staff. There are three gins to contrast and compare: our own Woolley Walled Garden gin produced by local Scout & Sage Microdistillery using botanicals from our walled garden, 6 O-Clock Jekka and Monkey 47. Truly a gin lovers heaven!
Follow with a delicious 5 course tasting menu (see below) showcasing the very best of our award winning Head Chef Jethro Lawrence’s cooking using locally sourced fresh ingredients, many from our own kitchen gardens. Jethro Lawrence trained under Simon Rogan and was a BBC Masterchef: The Professionals Quarterfinalist. His cooking delivers perfect flavour combinations masterfully presented.
Bradford on Avon is often described as a mini Bath and is full of independent foodie shops and cafes. On arrival please ask for our Bradford on Avon Food Trail map with some tasty offers to tempt you whilst also helping to support our local food businesses.
Dog Friendly Holiday
We love dogs at Woolley and welcome your pooch as part of the family. We have introduced a special Dogs Stay for Free break whereby we not only waive the normal doggy supplement but have also linked up with our fabulous local DOGHOUSE (pet store, come dog cafe, come grooming parlour). In your room you will find, as well as a doggy blanket and bowl, a treat box with a £10 gift voucher for you to spend in DOGHOUSE. How fabulous is that! Located on the southern edge of the Cotswlods, there are some lovely walks around here and, in our 14 acre grounds, we also have a dog shower to clean up those muddy paws and before a snooze by the fire.
