Bath really spoils the visitor with its museums. There's something for everyone and many of them run children's activities throughout the holidays. Dress up in period costume at the Museum of Fashion and the Jane Austen centre; get into art at the Holburne Museum or the Victoria Art Gallery;  learn all about American history at the American Museum; enjoy architecture at the Museum of Bath Architecture...or just walk the streets admiring the Circus, Pulteney Bridge, and the numerous Georgian Crescents.

This country city is known for its fabulous parks and green squares. We can think of no place better to enjoy a family picnic than Victoria Park where you can sit below the Royal Crescent and imagine what life was like 250 years ago!
